MU1 Luke Wingfield

 

Musician 1st Class Luke Wingfield is a native of Dallas, Texas. Prior to joining the Coast Guard, he attended Texas Christian University for a B.M. in Music Education, and the University of North Texas for an M.M in Jazz Studies.

MU1 Wingfield was the jazz soloist in the GRAMMY nominated One O’Clock Lab Band from 2015-2017. After graduating, he freelanced and taught music in the Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston metroplexes for many years. During this time, Wingfield was fortunate enough to share the stage with a plethora of jazz musicians, including Sean Jones, Wayne Bergeron, Randy Brecker, Eric Marienthal, Sal Lozano, Danilo Perez, Dennis Mackrel, Marvin Stamm, Peter Erskine, and many others.

Today, he enjoys exploring New England and going on hikes with his wife, Tori and their yellow lab.
