Community Outreach Initiative

We are pleased to offer the United States Coast Guard Band’s Community Outreach Initiative Program this season, providing chamber music performances in February and March 2020!  These programs are being offered to local elementary and middle schools. Music ensembles within the band are designing creative, educational programs that will be performed on the mornings of February 24th, 25th, 26th, 28th, and March 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

This year we offer short programs by the following groups; Brass Quintet, Woodwind Quintet, Reed Quintet and Clarinet Trio.
They perform a 30 minute program for Pre-K through 2nd grade, and for Grades 3-5, with a 10 minute break in-between for transition.  We aim for these concerts to start at 9:00AM.

We hope to have your school enjoy one of these performance opportunities.  Participation is on a “first come, first served” basis.

To reserve a program for your school, click on the following link:

Once you are there, fill out all of the form and click submit.  Also, contact us at the email address listed below so that we know you submitted a form.  If you have any questions about the required information on the form, we will gladly answer them.
Please have alternate ensemble and date choices because your first selection may no longer be available once we are in the booking process.  In the past, these programs have filled up very quickly (We will be able to accommodate 16-20 schools out of a pool of around 70 that we contact).  These assemblies are free, just like all United States Coast Guard Band concerts.

For more information email MU1 Megan Weikleenget at Megan.l.weikleenget@uscg.mil or call
