MUCS Barrett Seals

Senior Chief Musician Barrett Seals, oboe and English horn, earned a Bachelor of Music degree in oboe performance from the University of Alabama in 1996, graduating cum laude from the Honors Program. He later received a Master of Music degree from the University of North Texas where he performed and recorded regularly with the Wind Symphony, taught undergraduate oboe students, and was a member of the Wind Dances fellowship quintet. MUCS Seals’ previous work experiences include substitute performances on baroque oboe for the Dallas Bach Society and regular performances with the Garland, Las Colinas, Irving, and Sherman Symphonies in Texas. His principal teachers include James Caldwell, Charles Veazey and Rebecca Henderson. MUCS Seals joined the Band in June 2000.
