Personnel Bio

MU1 Taylor Isberg

Originally from Ellicott City, Maryland, Musician 1st Class Taylor Isberg joined the Coast Guard Band in March 2023. She made her professional debut in January 2019, performing several concerts with the London Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle, as one of twelve Music Academy Festival musicians selected by audition to participate in the Keston MAX Fellow program. She has performed with ensembles such as the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, New England Chamber Orchestra, New Bedford Symphony, Phoenix, and The Orchestra Now. Outside of performing, MU1 Isberg is an active educator and has previously taught lessons in the Houston and Boston areas.

In 2017, MU1 Isberg received a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance as a Stamps Scholar from the University of Michigan, where she studied with Daniel Gilbert. She returned to the University of Michigan for her graduate studies, where she studied with Daniel Gilbert and Chad Burrow, earning her first Master of Music degree in 2019. MU1 Isberg earned a second Master of Music degree in 2022 under the tutelage of Richie Hawley.
