Personnel Bio

MUC Bonnie Denton
MUC Bonnie DentonChief Musician Bonnie Denton joined the Coast Guard Band in December 2006 after first serving with The United States Military Academy Band at West Point from 1999 to 2002. Denton earned her high school diploma from Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, MI, a bachelor’s degree in both music performance and education from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, and began graduate studies at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Since joining the Band, Denton has been a featured soloist on numerous concerts, including two national tours. In addition to her duties as section euphonium, she also serves as graphic designer, creating and producing the majority of the Band’s print material. Bonnie lives in Ledyard, CT, with her husband, Coast Guard Band tubist Richard Denton and their son, Henry.
