NPFC Online Services

The National Pollution Funds Center is committed to providing secure, efficient service to its customers. To that end, NPFC is in the process of developing several Web-based applications to enable anyone with Internet access to conduct business with NPFC at their own convenience.

COFR
Vessel Guarantors, Owners, or Operators
 Look up information on a shipping vessel based on its Certificate of Financial Responsibility (COFR).
Apply for, renew, change, and pay for COFR applications online.
CANAPS
EPA & CG FOSCs

Federal OSCs can use this system to generate, amend, cancel, and check the status of FPNs for oil spills. CG OSCs can also use the system to generate, amend, cancel, and check the status of CPNs for hazmat incidents.

In addition to the Web application, this site contains documentation that explains when and how to use CANAPS, provides points of contact information, and includes a demonstration/training version of CANAPS.
