Chamber Players Recital Series
The United States Coast Guard Chamber Players Recital Series was established in 1977 for members of the Band to present classic to contemporary chamber music in Leamy Hall and at other venues in southeastern Connecticut. Many talented and versatile musicians have appeared as guest conductors, artists, or accompanists. Prominent conductors who have led performances include Richard Pittman, Tibor Pusztai, James Sinclair, Heather Buchman, and Paul Philips.
The annual Jazz in April concert showcases the remarkable arranging and improvisatory skills of Coast Guard Band members, and has featured such spectacular guest artists as Slide Hampton, Frank Vardaros, Jeff Holmes, Greg Utzig, and Chris Vadala.
