The Coast Guard works with the maritime industry to ensure they are compliant with federal laws and regulations. This includes the providing access to the Manufacturer Identification Code (MIC) training. Once the training is completed, the certification information is provided to the organization. The MIC is a 3-character code assigned by the U.S. Coast Guard to identify a boat manufacturer.  It's part of the Hull Identification Number (HIN), which is required for all recreational boats in the U.S. Click on the videos below to start your training now.
