Community Outreach Initiative

The U.S. Coast Guard Band announces its 2014 Community Outreach Initiative Program.  Chamber ensembles from within the band present outstanding educational assembly programs at elementary schools within a 20 mile radius of New London, CT.

Programming

This year we are excited to offer assembly programs by the following ensembles:

Each ensemble will present two different programs: one for grades K-2 and another for grades 3-5.  Students experience the performance of great music, as well as musical activities that serve to test listening skills.  Students explore, in fun and engaging ways, concepts such as steady beat, musical expression, moving to music, and rhythm.

More program information to come in mid January!
