The Coast Guard launched the Office of the Chief Prosecutor. This office is charged with prosecuting the Coast Guard’s most complex, sensitive cases, such as rape and sexual assault, sexual misconduct, stalking, domestic violence, kidnapping, and child pornography.
  • Reinforcing Our Core Values

The Coast Guard modernized its military justice practice, including the expansion of the Special Victims’ Counsel (SVC) and the newly established Office of the Chief Prosecutor (OCP), whose jurisdiction covers victim-centric offenses and consolidates disposition authority into a single entity for sexual assault and sexual harassment, among other covered offenses.
