Ms. Amy Graveley

Deputy Commander, Operational Logistics Command  (LOGCOM)

Ms. Amy Graveley is the Deputy Commander, Operational Logistics Command  (LOGCOM). She is responsible for the delivery of mission support logistics for Coast Guard steady state, contingency, and expeditionary operations, and for planned events of national significance.  

She also ensures common business processes are used by Logistics Centers and Service Centers during the delivery of regional services provided by 23 base commands from around the world. Prior to joining the U.S. Coast Guard and the Senior Executive Service, Ms. Graveley was the Director of Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection at Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, she provided maintenance, supply, transportation, civil engineering, and security forces support for 1,500 aircraft, 300,000 annual student load, 62,000 permanently assigned personnel, and 11 air force bases. She also oversaw plans and policies supporting integration of new aircraft into the Command inventory, including the T-7A, F-35A, MH-139A, A/MC-130J, and HH-60W.  

Ms. Graveley began her federal civil service career in July 2007, serving as the Deputy Director of the 47th Maintenance Directorate at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas. She then completed the Air Force Civilian Strategic Leader Program, assigned to the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force (Management) staff which is located at the Air Force Headquarters in Washington, DC.  

There she served in multiple roles, including the Chief of Continuous Process Improvement Policy and Training, and then as the Director of Management Improvement. Later, she transitioned to Chief, Weapon System Sustainment Division, in the Resource Integration Directorate under the Air Force’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering, & Force Protection, also at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.  

Ms. Graveley grew up in Montana and graduated from Powell County High School. In 1996, she graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering. She has master’s degrees in organizational management from George Washington University, and supply chain management from Syracuse University. She is also a graduate of Air War College, Air Command and Staff College, and Squadron Officer School. As an aircraft maintenance officer, she served in a diverse range of leadership, management, and staff positions at the unit, Headquarters Air Force, and Joint Staff levels.
