Command Master Chief Lucas M. Pullen became  the Command  Master Chief of Pacific Area on 25 May 2021, and he serves as the Command Senior  Enlisted Leader for all U.S. Coast Guard  missions from the Rocky Mountains to  waters off the East Coast of Africa,  encompassing four Coast Guard Districts.  In his previous role, CMC Pullen served in a joint  military assignment as the Command Senior  Enlisted Leader for the Combined Maritime  Forces in Manama, Bahrain.

Originally from Davis, OK, CMC Pullen enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in  August of  1998 . CMC Pullen's previous  assignments include Command Master  Chief Coast Guard Sector Guam, Officer In  Charge, USCGC KINGFISHER, Panama  City, FL; Officer in Charge, USCGC COHO,  Panama City, FL; Officer in Charge, Station Oxford, MD; Executive Petty Officer, Station Yankeetown, FL; Executive Petty Officer, USCGC PELICAN, Abbeville, LA; Coxswain Instructor, Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown, VA; USCGC GALVESTON ISLAND, Apra Harbor, Guam; and Station South Padre Island, TX.

CMC Pullen’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, three Coast Guard Commendation Medals, four Coast Guard Achievement Medals, the Commandant’s Letter of Commendation, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service medal Navy Flag Letter of Commendation, three Coast Guard Overseas Service Ribbons, Army Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 5, and other personal and service awards.  He earned a permanent Cutterman insignia, Advanced Boat Forces Operations insignia, Coxswain insignia, Command Afloat and Ashore devices, and Command Master Chief (Silver and Gold Badge) insignias.

CMC Pullen is a graduate of the National Defense University's Keystone Joint Senior Enlisted Leaders Course; Class 68 of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy;  Class 58 of the Coast Guard Senior Enlisted Leadership Course; Class 170 of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy; the Maritime Law Enforcement Academy and other service-related schools.  CMC Pullen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from American Military University, and a Master’s Degree in Leadership Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso.

CMC Pullen is proudly married to his best friend of 22 years Marcy Pullen, and they have three children, Tucker, Cheyenne, and Levi.
