Command Master Chief Maria L. D'Angelo

Command Master Chief Eleventh Coast Guard District

Command Master Chief Maria D’Angelo assumed the duties of the Eleventh District’s Command Master Chief (CMC) in July 2023. Her primary responsibility is to advise the D11 Commander on workforce issues and initiatives.

In addition, she supports the  Command intent,   facilitates communications and the effective functioning of the organizational chain of command. Most recently Master Chief D’Angelo served as Command Master Chief Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT.

Master Chief Maria D’Angelo is a native of Ronkonkoma, New York and is a veteran of the United States Navy. She enlisted in the Coast Guard in March of 2002 and her previous units include Patrol Forces South West Asia, Station Jones Beach, Surface Fleet Logistics Center, CGC Gallatin, CGC Bear, CGC Monomoy, and USS Holland.

Master Chief D’Angelo’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Coast Guard Commendation Medal, Navy/Marine Corp Commendation Medal, Coast Guard Achievement Medal, Navy/Marine Corp Achievement Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and other personal and service awards.

Master Chief D’Angelo is a 2011 graduate of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy Class 178 and the Coast Guard Senior Enlisted Leadership Course Class 61. She is married to Marie D’Angelo of Eden Prairie, MN and has two children named Leo and Diana.
