Master Chief Michael D. Ingham assumed the duties as the Command Master Chief of Coast Guard District One on May 12, 2022. Master Chief Ingham is the principal advisor to the District Commander on all enlisted personnel matters.
A career technician, his previous assignments in Washington, DC were at Coast Guard Cyber Command where he served as the Command Master Chief following a successful tour as the Information Systems Technician Rating Force Master Chief.
Following graduation from Coast Guard Recruit Training in October 1998, he reported to Training Center Petaluma, CA to attend Telephone Technician A-School. Two assignments in South Florida then followed; the first being to Electronic Systems Support Detachment Miami, FL and then to Coast Guard Cutter Mohawk in Key West, FL. In August 2005, orders to Electronic Systems Support Unit New Orleans, LA got him there just in time for Hurricane Katrina with the next few years spent recovering from it. In 2008 above the cut for Chief Petty Officer, orders to Washington, DC would keep him there for a while. A one-year joint service assignment to the Armed Forces Inaugural Committee was followed by an assignment to TISCOM’s Local Area Network Team just across the Potomac River in Alexandria, VA. While there, he was selected to serve as Chief of the Ceremonial Honor Guard and followed that with a year in an advanced education program after advancing to Senior Chief Petty Officer. Another assignment to Miami, but this time to Base Miami Beach’s C5I Department culminated with an advancement to Master Chief Petty Officer and the most recent assignments mentioned earlier.
CMC Ingham’s awards include two Meritorious Service Medals, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Coast Guard Commendation Medal, three Coast Guard Achievement Medals, and other personal and service awards. He has earned the Honor Guard, Command Master Chief, and Rating Force Master Chief insignias.
CMC Ingham is a graduate of the Coast Guard Senior Enlisted Leadership Course, the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy, and other service related schools. Master Chief Ingham holds an Associate’s of Arts in Information Systems Degree from Strayer University.
CMC Ingham grew up in a US Navy family and calls home where the service sent his father. He is married to YNCM Angelica Ingham and they have one daughter (Isabella – 2018).
