Ms. Ann Castiglione-Cataldo is the Director of International Affairs and Foreign Policy Advisor for the US Coast Guard. She is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing agency strategy, policy, and programs relating to Coast Guard international activities and engages international partners directly to advance collaboration in support of the National Security Strategy and Coast Guard missions. She is the Coast Guard Senior Leadership’s key policy advisor on the complete range of agency activities related to International Affairs and engagement.

Ms. Castiglione-Cataldo has extensive experience in international affairs. She previously served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports and Cooperation. In this capacity, she was the U.S. Army principal responsible for the Army’s global security assistance and armaments cooperation programs. This included all matters involving Security Assistance, export policies and oversight, direct commercial sales of Army defense articles and international cooperative research, development and acquisition. These programs directly involved over 2000 Army civilian and military personnel and exceeded $14B annually in sales and cooperative efforts with over 100 foreign countries. In her representational capacity, Ms. Castiglione-Cataldo also served as the designated U.S. Army Senior National Representative on all bi- and multi-lateral armaments cooperation fora with the Army’s international partners.

Other career highlights include: Principal Director of Business Operations at the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). In this role, she was responsible for the resource management, budget, and financial policy for Security Assistance and Security Cooperation programs valued at over $307B in Foreign Military Sales and Grants programs including the FMS Trust Fund management of the sales accounts for 170 international partners. Prior assignments include: Director Acquisition and Assistance Policy, US Agency for International Development; Deputy General Counsel, Defense Security Cooperation Agency; Attorney Advisor, Acquisition and Assistance, U.S. Agency for International Development; Principal Legal Advisor to Latin American and Emergency Management and Project Management Divisions, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District.

Ms. Castiglione-Cataldo served 10 years as an Army Judge Advocate, including service in Korea, Honduras, and Panama.
