Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

May is Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Month, and the U. S. Coast Guard celebrates the rich cultures, contributions, traditions, and languages within the AANHPI community.

This year’s theme focuses on “Advancing Leaders Through Innovation” and AANHPI Coast Guard members continue to provide leading-edge innovation that drives transformative change within the service.

Attention to Award

Congratulations to YN2 Vinnesha Blas for winning the 2024 Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) Award. She was recognized for continual efforts to advocate for holistic positive change and is devoted to nurturing a diverse cohort of emerging leaders. YN2 Blas will receive her award during the 2024 FAPAC National Leadership Training Program in May 2024.
