USCGC Hammerhead

Unit Description

The USCGC Hammerhead is home ported in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. It is the second boat built of the Marine Protector Class. She was built in Lockport, LA. The CGC Hammerhead is used in multi-facets by the Coast Guard. It has been used mostly as a Homeland Security and Fisheries Patrol Vessel, but its missions include port security and search and rescue activities as well.
