LCDR Jeffrey P. Ferlauto

A native of Newburyport, Massachusetts, Lieutenant Commander Jeff Ferlauto graduated from Wagner College with a Bachelors degree of Criminal Justice in 1997. LCDR Ferlauto enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1998 and received his commission through Officer Candidate School in 2001.
Lieutenant Commander Ferlauto reported to duty as Executive Officer of USCGC VIGILANT (WMEC-617) in June 2014. His most recent assignment was in the Office of Internal Controls at Coast Guard Headquarters. His past afloat tours include Operations Officer USCGC CAMPBELL (WMEC-909) home ported in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Operations Officer USCGC JUNIPER (WLM-901), home ported in Newport, Rhode Island, Deck Watch Officer and Assistant Navigator aboard USCGC CHASE (WHEC-718) home ported in San Diego, California, and USCGC BEAR (WMEC-901) home ported in Portsmouth, Virginia. Lieutenant Commander Ferlauto also served as District 17’s Waterways Management Operations Section Chief in Juneau, Alaska.
Lieutenant Commander Ferlauto received a Masters in Business Administration and a M.S. in Accounting from Northeastern University in 2010. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His personal awards include Coast Guard Commendation Medal, four Coast Guard Achievement Medals, and various unit awards.
