LCDR Randall Chong
Executive Officer, USCGC MOHAWK

LCDR Randall Chong is a native to Ceres, CA. He is a 1999 graduate from the United States Coast Guard Academy with a degree in government. He is also a 2008 graduate from San Diego State University with a Master's Degree in Educational Technology.
LCDR Chong began his Coast Guard career as a Deck Watch Officer and First Lieutenant on board USCGC ACUSHNET (WMEC 167), home ported in Ketchikan, AK. His next assignment was as an Officer in Charge of LEDET 107 while assigned to the Pacific Area Tactical Law Enforcement Team in San Diego, CA. Following that assignment, he was assigned as the Operations Officer on board USCGC SENECA (WMEC 906), home ported in Boston, MA and then as the Commanding Officer of USCGC CHINCOTEAGUE (WPB1320), home ported in San Juan,PR.
LCDR Chong’s last assignment was at Coast Guard Training Center Petaluma serving as the Deputy Training Officer, OS “A” School/WMSL Simulator Branch Chief and as a Performance Analyst.
LCDR Chong has merited four Coast Guard Commendation Medals with operational distinguishing device, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Permanent Cutterman’s Pin, Tactical Law Enforcement Pin and various unit awards. He is also a Certified Performance Technologist.
