Coast Guard Station Fort Pierce is located on South Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce, Florida and was commissioned in 1975. The station continues to guard the Treasure Coast providing Maritime Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue operations, fish and wildlife protection, illegal immigrant interdiction and safety to the boating public.
Coast Guard Station Fort Pierce has always kept a watchful eye on the waters of the Treasure Coast from north of Sebastian Inlet all the way down to the Saint Lucie Inlet including areas of the Indian and Saint Lucie Rivers and Lake Okeechobee.
Consisting of 45 active duty members and 15 reservists Coast Guard Station Fort Pierce is equipped with four small boats: Two 33 ft Special Purpose Crafts, One 25 ft Response Boat-Small, and the newest addition a 45 ft Response Boat - Medium to aid in safeguarding the Treasure Coast.
