 Sector Commander
Captain Andy Blomme
Captain Andy Blomme reports to Sector Jacksonville having recently completed a three-year assignment as Military Assistant to the Secretary of Homeland Security. In this position Captain Blomme was honored to serve both Secretary Michael Chertoff and Secretary Janet Napolitano and traveled throughout the United States and around the world in fulfilling his duties.
Previous command tours have included the Coast Guard Cutter DILIGENCE, a 210’ medium endurance cutter homeported in Wilmington, NC, Cutter NANTUCKET, a 110’ patrol boat homeported in Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico and Key West, FL and Cutter POINT HURON, an 82’ patrol boat homeported in Little Creek, VA. Captain Blomme rounded out his nearly twelve years of sea duty with tours aboard Cutter GALLATIN in Governors Island, NY and Cutter CHASE in San Diego, CA. Additional operational tours included three years as a controller in the Coast Guard’s Fifth District Command Center in Portsmouth, VA and three years as the Operations Officer at Coast Guard Group Miami.

 Sector Deputy Commander
Commander James McLaughlin
Commander McLaughlin, a native of Massachusetts, graduated from Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation. Upon graduation in 1987, he sailed for Exxon Shipping Company out of Houston, TX. Commander McLaughlin entered the U.S. Coast Guard in 1989 and was assigned to Marine Safety Office San Juan, Puerto Rico where he served as the unit’s Senior Investigating Officer. Following that tour, he was assigned to Marine Inspection Office New York, NY, where he oversaw vessel inspections conducted in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

 Command Master Chief
MCPO Robert Bryman
Master Chief Machinery Technician Robert Brayman assumed the duties as the Command Master Chief of Sector Jacksonville in June 2007. He hails from the Erie PA and joined the Coast Guard in 1979 and coming on active duty in 1980.
During his Coast Guard career, he served at a variety of duty stations. Before his current assignment, Master Chief Brayman was the School Chief for the Senior Enlisted Command Master Chief Course at the Coast Guard Academy in New London CT. His other shore units include Group Charleston SC as the Command Master Chief and Assistant Group Engineer, the USAF Senior NCO Academy (AFSNCOA) at Maxwell AFB AL as the first Coast Guard exchange instructor, 110 WPB Type Desk Manager at Maintenance & Logistics Command Atlantic, (more..)
