The command consists of approximately 200 active duty, reserve, and civilian members with nine field commands and detachments. Sector Juneau's personnel, under three main departments, Prevention, Response, and Logistics, provide a vital Coast Guard presence in four strategic Southeast Alaska communities, and conduct operations in over 20 remote areas and native villages on over 1,000 islands and 15,000 miles of shoreline.
Congratulations to SN Iannazzo-Simmons! He was recently selected as the Enlisted Person of the Quarter for Sector Juneau. He was selected from among the top performers of every Sector unit because of his tireless work about Coast Guard Cutter LIBERTY, a 110' patrol boat stationed in Auke Bay, Alaska. He took on many extra duties and responsibilities as the cutter's Movie Officer, Mail Custodian, and leader on several important maintenance projects. He's shown here posing with the LIBERTY at the Coast Guard dry dock in Ketchikan, Alaska. Thank you for your service and Bravo Zulu!
