Travel and leave back to pre-pandemic policy

Members can now return to pre-pandemic policies when planning foreign and domestic travel as outlined in the Military Assignments and Authorized Absences, COMDTINST M1000.8. The Coast Guard returned leave and liberty travel to pre-pandemic policies at the beginning of July 2021 in response to the current trends of the pandemic, combined with the national vaccination effort.

One thing to keep in mind: You should expect to have a conversation with your command about your vaccination status and COVID-19 conditions of where you plan to travel.
