Sept. 23, 2020 —
Our Nation and Service continue to experience and respond to months of fires, floods, hurricanes, and a hundred year pandemic. Some have suffered the primary trauma of illness, loss of loved ones, damaged or destroyed homes; for others there is an ever present anxiety associated with family members who have co-morbidities, shifting winds near uncontrolled fires, or the next tropical depression when the roof is already compromised. It is vitally important to remember that we do not have to face any of these challenges alone. On 23 September from 1500-1600 ET, please join the Deputy MCPOCG Charles Bushey and RADM Cari Thomas (Ret), CEO of Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA), for Wellness Wednesday. They will share strategies for navigating life’s obstacles that have helped countless Coasties over many decades. CGMA stands ready to aid those in need during these unprecedented times.
