Hello Shipmates,
The pandemic has ushered in changes to how we live our lives each and every day. Even though we are socially distanced and more physically separated, we must strive to be more connected as a community to get through this enduring challenge together. One way the Coast Guard has ensured our newest members feel included is the “Outreach to New Coast Guard Members Project.” It is a preventive effort to ensure the safety, well-being and success of our newest “Coasties” embarking on their CG service journey.
Whether you are brand new to the Coast Guard, or have weathered few storms, finding a community is incredibly important to build rapport, support necessary conversations about self-care, and know who and where to ask for help when needed.
This Wednesday, 22 July 1500-1600 EST, please join Mr. Bob Atadero, Employee Assistance Program Coordinator, and Chaplain Junsub Um in District 13, as they discuss strategies to foster an atmosphere of unity, strengthen community involvement, and share personal life strategies discovered through their own life journeys.
Please click this link to attend Wellness Wednesday from your CG computer, personal computer or mobile device. Even if you do not have a CVR.mil account, you can still watch the stream via the link above. If you wish to maintain anonymity, log out of your normal (USCG/DOD) CVR account and join as a guest.
