Hello Shipmates,
Work, family and navigating social and environmental obligations can consume every part of our lives. This may place any of us on a path towards feeling overwhelmed. Prior to the pandemic, most of our lives were quite full, some might say “hectic or frenetic.” We lived a balancing act with multi-faceted demands from work, school and extracurricular activities. But most of us took solace in our routines - which have undoubtedly been disrupted. The current more restrictive or constrained environment created by this pandemic provides fewer opportunities to engage in some of our normal healthy diversions. For some of us, this can feel like we reach a boiling point more quickly than we like. For others, the response may be to withdraw or disengage.
While there are no easy solutions to making every problem disappear, there are techniques we can adopt to provide relief in any demanding environments. Please join us this Wednesday as Chaplain Stephen Velthuis and EAPC Kristin Cox from District 13, as we explore individual resiliency through mindfulness.
