Wellness Wednesday Invite for 10 June

PRINT  |  E-MAIL

Hello Shipmates,

We have a change this week to our regularly scheduled Wellness Wednesday.  In light of all that is going on in the world, Dr. Terri Dickerson, Director of Civil Rights, and Chaplain Thomas Walcott, Chaplain of the Coast Guard, will host this week’s forum addressing experiences and feelings related to historical and present race relations.

Our Nation is witnessing colliding public health crises.  Health inequities with respect to the coronavirus pandemic have led to disproportionate unemployment, illness and death for persons of color.  Whether infectious disease or social aggression…conditions that place some of us at risk, place all of us at risk.  Please join us on Wednesday, 10 Jun 1500-1600 EST as we share and listen to each other’s insights and questions regarding the current social climate, interconnectedness, and how this impacts our emotional/mental/spiritual health.

Please click this link to attend Wellness Wednesday from your CG computer, personal computer or mobile device.  Even if you do not have a CVR.mil account, you can still watch the stream via the link above. If you wish to maintain anonymity, log out of your normal (USCG/DOD) CVR account and join as a guest. You may also call (571) 388-3904; Conference ID 453 387 852#. If you have questions or suggestions pertaining to this topic, feel free to email us at wellnesswednesday@uscg.mil.
