Wellness Wednesday Invite for 27 May

PRINT  |  E-MAIL

Hello Shipmates,

Tomorrow for Wellness Wednesday, we have the honor of discussing mental health concerns and lessons learned from our shipmates in District 1.  D1 includes seven states from Northern New Jersey to Maine. Collectively, this region has experienced 40% of our Nation’s 100,000 COVID deaths.  Our presenters will be Chaplain John Sears, Command Chaplain for the Coast Guard Sector New York and Sector Long Island Sound and the Employee Assistance, Coordinator for District 1 Ms. Leslie Cardona.  Both members have valuable information to share as we move forward.

Please click this link to attend Wellness Wednesday from your CG computer, personal computer or mobile device. Even if you do not have a CVR.mil account you can still watch the stream via the link above. If you wish to maintain anonymity, log out of your normal (USCG/DOD) CVR account and join as a guest. You may also call (571) 388-3904; Conference ID 288 018 057#. If you have questions or suggestions, you may e-mail us at wellnesswednesday@uscg.mil

As Executive Champion for Bike to Work Day, cancelled due to COVID, I decided to re-brand the opportunity as Bike4Health.  I encourage each of you to pump up those tires, find your helmet and ride at least once between now and the beginning of summer.
