The Coast Guard’s IT team is now sharing their best insider tips for teleworking. Bookmark their newly-launched Telework website – it will quickly become your go-to site for telework topics while working remotely.

Here, you’ll find a list of frequently asked questions specifically related to teleworking, along with user guides and video tutorials.

“Some people are used to teleworking, but for others, this is something completely new to figure out,” said Cmdr. Jessica Behera, the IT/Telework working group lead. “We don’t want members struggling with technology. We want to make sure everyone has access to helpful information to remain productive.”

On the site, you’ll get CG-6’s top 10 tips for using VPN and VDI. You’ll find a list of telework-friendly websites to support your daily tasks, reminders about cybersecurity at home, and ideas for training you’ll be happy you accomplished.

As we all adhere to the Stay Safe, Stay Home mantra, know that Coast Guard IT is working around the clock to help you succeed. If you can’t find what you need on the new Telework site, visit the CG-6 website or call CG FIXIT.
