Command Master Chief Lucas M. Pullen assumed the duties as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), Manama, Bahrain in September 2019.  In this joint military assignment, CMC Pullen works with senior leaders from 33 partner nations focused on one of the most strategically significant maritime areas in the world which includes the Arabian Gulf, Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Somali Basin, Northern Arabian Sea, Gulf of Oman, and the Indian Ocean.  Most recently, CMC Pullen served as the Command Master Chief for Coast Guard Sector Guam.

CMC Pullen was born in Ardmore, OK and raised in Davis, OK.  He enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in August of 1998.  As an operator, Master Chief Pullen has been directly involved in maritime law enforcement to include fisheries, counter-narcotics, and counter-migrant operations, as well as search and rescue, and maritime security operations.

CMC Pullen’s previous assignments include Officer in Charge, USCGC KINGFISHER, Panama City, FL; Officer in Charge, USCGC COHO, Panama City, FL; Officer in Charge, Station Oxford, MD; Executive Petty Officer, Station Yankeetown, FL; Executive Petty Officer, USCGC PELICAN, Abbeville, LA; Coxswain Instructor, Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown, VA; USCGC GALVESTON ISLAND, Apra Harbor, Guam; and Station South Padre Island, TX.

CMC Pullen’s awards include three Coast Guard Commendation Medals with operational distinguishing device, four Coast Guard Achievement Medals with operational distinguishing device, the Commandant’s Letter of Commendation with operational distinguishing device, Navy Flag Letter of Commendation, two Coast Guard Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 5, and other personal and service awards.  He has earned a permanent Cutterman insignia, Advanced Boat Forces Operations insignia, Coxswain insignia, Command Afloat and Shore devices, and a Command Master Chief (Gold Badge) insignia.

CMC Pullen is a graduate of Class 68 of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy; Class 58 of the Coast Guard Senior Enlisted Leadership Course; Class 170 of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy; the Maritime Law Enforcement Academy and other service-related schools.  CMC Pullen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from American Military University, and a Master’s Degree in Leadership Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso.
