US Coast Guard Yard: Quality Service Since 1899

USCG Yard Clinic

Clinic Services

The Yard Clinic is staffed with two medical officers, one physician and one physician's assistant, and one dental officer. The providers are supplemented with Health Services Technicians and civilian staff members.

The Clinic is staffed and equipped to provide outpatient care to Active Duty service members in the area, as well as Occupational Health monitoring for Yard employees.

The staff provides physical examinations, ancillary services such as immunizations, allergy shots, clinical laboratory, radiology, pharmacy and referral services to other treatment facilities for specialty care.

Clinic Hours of Operation

The Clinic is open from 0730 - 1130 Monday through Friday and 1230 - 1600 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We are closed, except for emergencies on Wednesday afternoon for staff in-service training.

The Clinic has a Duty Health Services Technician to assist with any medical needs Mon - Fri, 1600-1900.  After 1900, they can be reached by calling the duty HS line at 202-570-9552.

The responsibilities of the Duty HS will consist of providing support and guidance with ALL after-hours medical needs for ACTIVE DUTY personnel.

Contact the Duty HS first before going to the ER or an urgent care office, UNLESS you have an obvious true medical emergency (i.e., chest pain, broken bone, etc.).  Once contacted, the Duty HS will assess the situation based on your symptoms and provide guidance on how to proceed.

To report after-hours, on-base emergencies, dial x3000 for Fire Department and Security response. If off-base, call 911 or report to the nearest emergency room for care. Report the emergency to your unit OOD, and contact the Duty HS.
