Commander Patrick Dozier is a direct commission engineer officer from the U.S. Navy in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon commissioning, he reported as Engineer Officer-in-Training and later Damage Control Assistant aboard USCGC MIDGETT (WHEC-726). Follow-on assignments include staff in the CG Headquarters Office of Naval Engineering; Engineer Officer aboard USCGC VALIANT (WMEC-621); staff as the Asst Configuration Manager of the Buoy Tender Replacement Project (G-AWL); Logistics Dept Head Sector Detroit, and most recently, Surface Portfolio Manager in CG Acquisitions Directorate Office of Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (CG-926).
Commander Dozier earned a postgraduate degree from the University of Maryland College Park in Project Management and is Department of Homeland Security Acquisition Program Manager Level II certified. Commander Dozier’s personal awards include the Coast Guard Meritorious Service Medal and two Coast Guard Commendation Medals “O” device.
