2009 World Maritime Day Parallel Event

The New York Parallel Event kicked off on Friday, October 16, 2009 at
Pier 60 in cooperation with the North American
Marine Environmental Protection Association (NAMEPA). Additional details on
NAMEPA's involvement can be found on the
event's sponsorship website.
The first day of the parallel event included a
Delegates Conference with panel discussions
and award ceremonies for national and international dignitaries and corporate leaders.

Conference Webpage. In addition the following other activities were open for both attendees of the delegate's conference and
members of the public:
The ship tours and portions of the Green Ship and Maritime Equipment Expo remained open to the public throughout the weekend.
