Cleaning Bullion

The industry experts do not recommend ever cleaning embroidered bullion items. Part of the mystique of embroidered bullion is to have it slightly tarnish over the years of use.

If the user so decides that they want to wear embroidered bullion after it has slightly tarnished and feels the need to remove the tarnish then the following procedures could be used but the end result could in fact damage the bullion resulting in a non presentable product.  The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for this procedure. This procedure is only a recommended procedure and is not guaranteed to work nor is any guarantee implied that the procedure will in fact clean the bullion by an inexperienced personnel.

    1. Use Tarn-X, a product available in most major Drug Stores and Supermarkets.
    2. Read and adhere to all warnings and directions on the label of the Tarn-X.
    3. Using a small soft hobby paint brush with 1/4" bristles, dab the brush into the Tarn-X leaving
the brush with the least possible amount if Tarn-X on the bristles.
    4. Apply the bristles of the brush to the tarnished area in a slow and careful circular/rotational
        scrubbing motion.
    5. Clean the brush thoroughly, and re-use it to apply cold water in the same fashion as the
Tarn-X in order to rinse the Tarn-X off. Repeat this as many times as required in order to
         remove the Tarn-X.
    6. Once the area has been cleaned and rinsed, gently dry the affected area with a clean dry
cloth and use a blow dryer set on low and held at least 6 inches away from the bullion until
         dry.
    7. Repeat as necessary.
