Welcome to the Official U.S. Coast Guard
Trademark Licensing Website!

The United States Coast Guard Trademark Licensing Program was established to register, regulate and protect the U.S. Coast Guard’s trademarks. Our goal is to enhance the Coast Guard brand and promote service recruiting efforts. The program licensing high quality merchandise, while guards against unauthorized use, and resolves, cases involving infringements.

The U.S. Coast Guard requires all individuals, hobbyists, corporations and organizations to obtain prior approval before producing any product(s) that will display Coast Guard trademarks.

The U.S. Coast Guard's mark, emblem, and name are protected by federal law 14 USC 639. Approval before commercial use is required. The use of Coast Guard protected words and symbols for commercial purposes is prohibited unless the producer completes a licensing agreement with the U.S. Coast Guard.

Coast Guard policy and federal law prohibits anyone from falsely representing that any project, business, product or service is in any way endorsed, authorized or approved by the Coast Guard.
