Chief Petty Officer Sabrina Hearst rides in the Sea to Shining Sea cross-country bicycle ride for wounded warriors.
From May 28 to July 28, Chief Petty Officer Sabrina Hearst, assigned to the Leadership and Management School Detachment at Training Center Petaluma, Calif. is participating in the T.E.A.M. Sports Sea to Shining Sea cross-country bicycle ride for wounded warriors. The Coast Guard previously participated in this event in 2010 and Hearst is this year's Coast Guard representative.
The ride began in San Francisco and ends in Virginia Beach, Va. As many as 18 wounded service members, along with able-bodied riders from T.E.A.M. Sports and other military branches, will participate. AAs the only Coast Guard representative, Hearst has the honor and unique opportunity to showcase our service and create awareness for this worthy cause.
