All unaccompanied members assigned to Base San Juan can expect mandatory assignment to the newly built unaccompanied personnel housing units (UPH). All single individuals, E-3 and below will be assigned to two person rooms and all E-4 and above will be assigned a single room.
Albino Hall
There are a total of 62 permanent party rooms, 41 of the rooms are allocated for E-4 and above and these rooms include a full size Captain's bed with storage drawers, refrigerator, microwave, wardrobe, carpeted floor, ceiling fan, window air conditioning unit, tables, lamps, private bath, and the rooms measurements are 240 square ft. Some of the rooms have the San Juan Harbor entrance view others have the Old San Juan city view. The other 21 rooms are for E-3 and below which include 2 separate twin beds, there also 5 suites with a Queen bed, bath tub, kitchen cabinets, sofa bed and these measure 480 square ft and includes all the amenities of the regular rooms.
Gonzalez Hall
There are 38 rooms, 7 regular rooms, 2 regular suites and 1 VIP suite for a total of 10 transient rooms on short term or TDYorders, the rooms have cable, VCR, telephone for local calls and 1-800 calls and computers access with ESD approval, at present time cost is $22.00 regular room and the suites are $25.00 a night including 1 VIP suite. 8 watch standers rooms with double twin beds and 1 OOD room for the total of 9. The other 19 rooms are for permanent party.
All the permanent party rooms have telephone, cable and computer connections. Those residents who want the services can contact our UPH office for cable and the local telephone company for the others services.
