Sick call hours are no
longer practiced as a walk-in basis. Members are encouraged to call the
appointment line to schedule an appointment. Sick call appointments will be
seen from 0720-0800. Routine appointments will start at 0820. The
appointment line is open at 0700 during regular working days.
All Active duty
personnel are required to enroll in TRICARE Prime upon arrival to their new
duty station. Personnel can enroll at the TRICARE Service Center located
within the Clinic. Detailed information on these programs is available from
the TRICARE representative located at the clinic on base.
There is a small Dental
Clinic aboard Sector San Juan. The Dental Clinic is staffed with one
Dentist, one Dental Hygienist, one Dental Assistant, and one Health Services
Technician. Dental care is available for Active Duty and reserve members
ONLY. Dental appointments are scheduled by calling 787-729-4344.
The Sector San Juan Clinic does not provide primary care
to Active Duty Family members (ADFMs). Active Duty members must enroll their
family members in one of the TRICARE programs available: TRICARE PRIME or
TRICARE STANDARD, and choose a Primary Care Manager (PCM) for their family
members. Beneficiaries of active duty personnel can receive dental care by
enrolling in the TRICARE - Active Duty Family Member Dental Plan through
United Concordia.
After 1530 (close of
business), no medical care is delivered by Clinic personnel. Members needing
medical care after hours are advised to contact the Duty Health Services
(HS) Technician at (787) 360-1613 for advice and to coordinate how to access
health care services in the local community. Active duty members are
required to contact our Clinic to schedule an appointment for follow up
after an emergency room or urgent care facility visit; ensuring continuum of
care. The following is a list of hospitals and urgent care facilities and
whether they provide services to Active Duty Members (ADMs) and/or Active
