CG PSC-RPM-3 may authorize Medical Hold (Med Hold) orders for reservists who incur or aggravate an injury, illness or disease in the line of duty (LOD) while on active duty orders greater than 30 days. Chapter 6 of the Reserve Policy Manual, COMDTINST M1001.28 (series), provides additional information about Med Hold orders.
All requests for Med Hold orders must include the items below and be routed through the command and District RFRS (or equivalent) to CG PSC-RPM-3 via email to: ARL-DG-CGPSC-RPM-Reserve-Medical@uscg.mil. All personnel involved in this process shall ensure proper precautions one taken to protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) especially when transmitting electronically.

CG PSC-RPM-3 will document the Medical Hold in the Medical Readiness Reporting System (MRRS). This action will change the member’s medical Deployment Limiting Conditions (DLC) in CGBI to red to ensure members are not mobilized, involuntarily or voluntarily, until Fit for Full Duty (FFD) in accordance with chapter 3 of the Reserve Policy Manual, COMDTINST M1001.28 (series).
