Active Duty for Health Care Process

BACKGROUND

CG PSC-RPM-3 may authorized Active Duty for Health Care (ADHC) orders for reservists who incur or aggravate an injury, illness or disease in the line of duty (LOD) while performing Inactive Duty Training (IDT), Funeral Honors Duty (FHD), Readiness Management Period (RMP), or active duty orders 30 days or less.  Chapter 6 of the Reserve Policy Manual, COMDTINST M1001.28 (series), provides additional information about ADHC orders.

REQUEST PROCESS

All requests for ADHC orders must include the items below and be routed through the command and District RFRS (or equivalent) to CG PSC-RPM-3 via email to:
ARL-DG-CGPSC-RPM-Reserve-Medical@uscg.mil. All personnel involved in this process shall ensure proper precautions one taken to protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) especially when transmitting electronically.

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION

CG PSC-RPM-3 will document the ADHC in the Medical Readiness Reporting System (MRRS). This action will change the member’s medical Deployment Limiting Conditions (DLC)  in CGBI to red, to ensure members are not mobilized, involuntarily or voluntarily, until Fit for Full Duty (FFD) in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Reserve Policy Manual, COMDTINST M1001.28 (series).
