1. SOLICITING FOR ONE RESERVIST O2 TO O4, FOR SHORT TERM ADSW-AC AT
PERSONNEL ALLOWANCE AND STAFFING DIVISION, (CG-833), IN WASHINGTON,
D.C.
2. PRIMARY DUTIES: CANDIDATE WILL SERVE AS A CG-833 PROGRAM
ANALYST.  THE POSITION REQUIRES SIGNIFICANT PERSONAL INTERACTION
WITH UNIT COMMANDING OFFICERS, HEADQUARTERS OFFICE CHIEFS, AREA
RESOURCE STAFF AND PROGRAM RESOURCE MANAGERS. REQUIRED TO ANALYZE
CURRENT AND PROPOSED PROGRAM RESOURCE CHANGES AND TO EVALUATE THEIR
POTENTIAL EFFECTIVENESS IN ACHIEVING PROGRAM OBJECTIVES. REVIEWS
ALL INCOMING REPROGRAMMING REQUESTS AND RELATED BILLET MAPS FOR
ACCURACY AND TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH CONGRESSIONAL INTENT,
BUDGETARY REQUESTS, AND AUTHORIZED WORK FORCE STRENGTH AND SPECIFIC
COAST GUARD BUSINESS RULES. WORKS DIRECTLY WITH PROGRAM MANAGERS,
BUDGET ANALYSTS AND PROGRAM REVIEWERS TO ENSURE CHANGES TO
ESTABLISHED UNIT PERSONNEL ALLOWANCE LISTS ARE WITHIN COAST GUARD
RESOURCE REPROGRAMMING GUIDELINES ISSUED BY THE CHIEF OF STAFF.
5. REQUIRED SKILLS: A RECORD OF EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE. ANALYTIC
ABILITY AND BROAD KNOWLEDGE OF COAST GUARD ORGANIZATIONS, PROGRAMS
AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS TO EFFECTIVELY INTERFACE WITH SENIOR COAST
GUARD PERSONNEL AND CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES.
3. DESIRED SKILLS: SELF MOTIVATING INDIVIDUAL WHO IS A FAST
LEARNER, ADAPTABLE, ABLE TO FOCUS ON DETAILS AND CAN EFFECTIVELY
OPERATE IN A FAST PACED ENVIRONMENT. GOOD ORGANIZATIONAL AND
PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS. WILL TRAIN ANYBODY WITH THE RIGHT
ATTITUDE.
4. AMPLIFYING INFO: THE CANDIDATE WILL PROVIDE CONTINUITY WITH THE
DEPARTURE OF THE CG-833 OFFICE CHIEF, PAL TEAM LEADER AND LT IN
AY08. THE OPERATIONAL TEMPO IN CG833 IS CONSTANT; IN FY07 CG-833
REPROGRAMMED OVER 23,000 BILLETS AND WITH MAJOR CG TRANSFORMATION
INITIATIVES STILL IN THE WORKS THE OPTEMO WILL CONTINUE TO
INCREASE. THE CANDIDATE MUST BE A SELF-STARTER, QUICK LEARNER, AND
REMAIN LEVEL HEADED WHILE WORKING DIRECTLY WITH A VARIETY OF
CUSTOMERS AT ALL LEVELS WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION. THE BENEFITS OF
