Assignments Branch (rpm-2)
The purpose of assigning reservists to Coast Guard units is to provide on-the-job training and administrative support to prepare them for mobilization. We handle all permanent change of station (PCS) assignments and transfers; and offer counseling to build and maintain a flexible, responsive Reserve Component while helping you make the most of your Coast Guard career.
Assignment Officers (AOs) and support personnel are
available to answer questions and help with your assignment concerns.

Welcome to the Reserve Assignments Branch webpage! Everything from our name to our office furniture is new, and most of our permanent staff has reported. Our website is new, too. In it, you will find important updates and “how to” notes at your fingertips. Please explore and share with us your ideas on how to make it better - this is YOUR resource.
With the establishment of the Reserve Assignments Branch, we have taken the first steps in centralized assignments for the Ready Reserve workforce. We are excited about our new role and firmly believe that a centralized team, dedicated to the proper placement and career progression of our Reserve workforce, is a smart investment in the health our organization.
Organizationally, we are hard at work finalizing our business processes and developing effective avenues for you to communicate with Reserve Assignment Officers. Among my top priorities is reducing the information gap Reserve members often experience due to the remote and sometimes random access to Coast Guard commands. It is my desire for this site to serve as a resource to Reserve members, as well as their commands. I urge you to "drop by" often to get the latest information regarding assignments and other valuable information that affect our Reserve force. I also encourage you to share your thoughts about ways in which we can better serve you. You may do so at the link located just below my signature block.
Lastly, RPM-2 will continue to work closely with District (dxr) personnel to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities as the Coast Guard continues to execute its modernization efforts. Without question, the coming months and years will pose some new challenges and opportunities - with your support, I am confident that we will topple all barriers while continuing to deliver the superior level of customer service that you expect and deserve.
On behalf of the entire
RPM-2
team, thank you in advance for your support. I look
forward to working with and hearing from you.
