Regular Retirement

Retired Recall

Ref: (a) Personnel and Pay Procedures Manual (PPPM), PPCINST M1000.2A, ch 3.A.3

In accordance with reference (a), "The Commandant may direct that a retired member be recalled to active duty".

Placement on TDRL/PDRL List

Ref: (a) Physical Disability Evaluation System, COMDTINST M1850.2
        (b) Military Separations, COMDTINST M1000.4 (series), Art. 2.B.6

Article 2.B.6 - Date of Separation or Retirement

When temporary or permanent disability retirement or disability separation is directed, the effective date of such retirement or separation normally is 20 working days following the date of Commander's (CG PSC) action.

Retention in connection with Medical board

       (b) Military Separations, COMDTINST M1000.4, Arts. 2.A.3 and 2.A.4

- Approvals for retention on active duty will be granted for periods up to one year.
- Member is required to provide "Retention Waiver Reevaluation" annually as required in references (a) and (b).  (If the required documentation is not received in the time framed indicated, CG PSC-epm-1 will proceed with disability or separation proceedings.)
Individual Involuntary Retirement Board (IIRB)

Ref: (a) ALCGENL 181/11 - Convening Individual Active Duty Enlisted Involuntary Retirement Boards

PSC-epm may direct a command to convene an IIRB to consider a member for involuntary retirement if PSC-epm received information that a member may meet the criteria set out in Military Separations, Article 1.C.10.C.3.
