ASSIGNMENT OFFICER’S HOT WORD –

You MUST be tour complete in AY11 to participate in the AY11 Assignment season (no waivers). The only programs that currently have exceptions to this policy are: Command Master Chief – Gold Badge, Sector Command Master/Senior Chief – Silver Badge, and Commandants Driver. See the applicable program links below to review the details of these exceptions.
ASVAB/Naval Battery tests are waived for all programs EXCEPT THE DIVE PROGRAM..
Special Assignments does not facilitate nor advocate short-tours for program application. Your tour completion date listed in Direct Access determines eligibility.
Your End of Enlistment date is NOT a factor.Do not use Direct Access to search for Special Assignment vacancies. You MUST use the shopping lists published below. Once you have identified a desired position (using the below lists), you will then need to utilize Direct Access to submit your ERESUME to include the mandatory command endorsement.

•Must be tour complete in AY11 (Gold Badge, Silver Badge, & COMDT’s Driver positions have exceptions to this policy).
•Review PERSMAN chapter 4.E for eligibility requirements
•Do not contact your rated assignment officer for a release from rate
•ASVAB/Naval Battery test are waived for all programs EXCEPT THE DIVE PROGRAM.
•To remove personnel from Special Assignments, review PERSMAN Art. 4.E.4.c
