Review and Update Your Profile

Update 10 June 2008 (Version 6:10):

Reset/Change Passwords – Due to security issues, users may no longer change their T-PAX passwords in their profile on the T-PAX Information tab.  These fields have been disabled.  To reset/change T-PAX passwords, please click the Tools menu and then Change Passwords.  You will be required to enter in the “Old Password” prior to resetting/changing.  If you have used the “forgotten password” button, please type/paste the system random generated password into the “Old Password” fields.

You can only reset one password at a time!

  1. First change the Logon password:  TOOLS>CHANGE PASSWORDS>enter old password>enter new password>re-enter new password then click OK.  

  2. Then change the Secondary password using the same path above.

The following changes to the user profile setup are effective in this release.


Procedure:

Usage: When a user logs on to UTS (T-Pax) they review personal and forgotten password information.

  1. T-PAX System Password Requirements

Beginning on Wednesday, May 23 you will need to change your password to meet stricter guidelines. New passwords must be exactly 9 characters in length, consisting of at least 1 number 1 lowercase letter and one upper case letter. Passwords are now case sensitive, if you have not logged in since 22 May enter your old 8 character password in all uppercase letters (all of the old passwords were converted to uppercase) and create your new password when prompted.

 

Here are some examples of passwords that meet the new criteria:

(Do not use special characters. The use of special characters (!@#$%^&*()_+=-{}{|":?>) is not permitted at this time).

Follow these steps to access and review your profile information:

Access the profile tabs by:

1. Clicking on the Shadow of person's head button in the top-left corner of the page.

 

2. Or, select  Profile > Modify or View Profile from the menu bar.

The Profile will display. Profile information is stored across four tabbed sections. The tab titles are displayed below:

Navigate through the tabs by clicking the tab title or using the Next button at the bottom of each of the first 3 tabs.

The Personal data tab is displayed first. Most of this information is loaded from Direct-Access and cannot be changed by the user. Contact your personnel support office for assistance with correcting discrepancies in Direct-Access. You can enter/update your preferred Salutation and Job Title if you desire.

Click the Address/Contact tab.

 

1. Review and update your mailing address.

2. Primary and Secondary email addresses. Be sure to enter the complete address including the "@" and domain (e. g. FirstName.I.LastName@uscg.mil).

3. Office Phone (Note the remaining fields in the Office Address area may be left blank).

4. It is important that all Email addresses are kept current in T-PAX.  To ensure email addresses are correct, T-PAX will now require a validation entry when the email address is entered or changed.

Click the Miscellaneous tab.

 

Enter your normal daily hours worked in the Work week field a check the days you are normally scheduled to work.

2. The Authentication Information is needed in order to use the self-service password reset feature. Enter

  1. Your Mother's Maiden Name

  2. YOUR town or city of birth

  3. YOUR date of birth (in MM/DD/YYYY format).

3. The Additional Information section is used to select a default Authorizing Official and designate a Signature Proxy if desired.

  1. Select a default AO by typing the person's name (last name first) in the box, then select the AO from the list of names.

  2. See the Proxy topic for more information on Full Signature Proxies. Leave this field blank unless you desire to use this feature.

  3. Unit Representative View – member can now select someone within their own OPFAC to be their designated Unit Representative.  This will allow the selected individual to view the traveler/AO box/claims and certain profile information to assist with any problems the traveler/AO may be having.

  4. Advance Proxy -- member can now select someone at their SPO who can submit requests for travel advances.

Click the OK button to save your changes.

Then, log out of the system or choose another task.
