Run Time Error

Cause/Solution

5

User is trying to fill in city field (e. g. "Sitka" or "Valdez")  for OCONUS locations.

  •  Skip over the City Field and go to the Locality Field to select the city for any and all OConus travel.

2147

Bandwidth/Max Users.

  • Try again later. As with the initial roll out of UTS, we had this same problem, too many users trying to get claims done at the same time.  The use will slow down, FINCEN has increased the max number of users the server can accept.

Error Messages (other than Run Time)

Error Message

Cause/Solution

Accounting Out of Balance

This error is received due to changing in entitlements after saving claim.

  • Please go into the financial tab click on "Modify Accounting" to ensure correct entitlement amount is entered, and click "OK".

Constructed Itinerary Cannot Be Less Than 24 Hours

User may not have selected "greater than 24 hours" option on the Constructed Itinerary screen.

  • Click "OK" which will take you to the Constructed Itinerary screen, and ensure that the drop down block shows greater than 24 hours.

You must enter a valid itinerary before you can enter a constructed itinerary

Error reported to programmers.

  • Click "OK" which will take you back to the itinerary.  You should be available to hit "OK" again to leave the itinerary screen and be fine.

Mileage

Problem

Cause/Solution

Mileage Not Populating

Data from the Defense Table of Official Distances (DTOD) is not available

  • If the mileage is not populating,  tab through it again, and enter one mile on each of the legs, then put the remainder of the mileage in the reimbursable items.  The DTOD file is constantly updated and regular update to TUS will occur. Please notify PPC Customer Care of any cities that do not populate automatically

Profiles, Passwords and Permission Issues

Problem

Cause/Solution

Password Specifications

Passwords must be exactly NINE (09) characters long and use only alpha/numeric combinations consisting of at least 1 number 1 lowercase letter and one upper case letter. Passwords are now case sensitive. NO SPECIAL CHARACTERS. The system will allow you to create a longer password or one that has special characters, but it will not let you login with it.

Multiple Profiles

Please use the profile where your correct EMPLID is showing (not your SSN).  In the future, secondary access will be blocked.

Printing Problems

Problem

Cause/Solution

Cannot Print Orders and/or DD-1351/2

See below for setting up a printer to work the Meta Frame Server.

  • Note: If orders were created in a system, other than T-PAX, (e.g. Direct-Access or USCG Adobe Forms) they must accompany the audit package. Only orders created in T-PAX can be printed from T-PAX.

Cannot print travel claim from T-Pax

Delete default computer printer and reconnect printer as default, and try again.  If that does not work, contact the FINCEN FPD Hotline at (757) 523-6781  or by e-mail to  fin-smb-cashelpdesk@uscg.mil to have a printer driver added.

Printer is not listed in T-Pax for my unit

This occurs when the MetaFrame server does not have the printer driver loaded for you. If that does not work, contact the FINCEN FPD Hotline at (757) 523-6781  or by e-mail to  fin-smb-cashelpdesk@uscg.mil to have a printer driver added.
