On Tuesday we rafted alongside the CCGS Louis S. St Laurent to return all equipment and personnel to their respective ships and facilitate an end-of-mission professional exchange. The Captain of the CCGS Louis S. St. Laurent (LSSL) Captain Rothwell, Captain Havlik, and the Chief Scientists from each ship exchanged mementos of appreciation for the successful joint operations. Following the presentation of gifts, both crews gathered in HEALY’s hangar and enjoyed some food and camaraderie. The evening ended with Arctic Olympics in the Hangar of the LSSL, which included line throwing, and knot tying competitions. When the event scores were tallied, HEALY emerged victorious and regained the Arctic Olympics title lost to LSSL at previous events in 2009. The crew enjoyed the professional exchange and camaraderie!
