Welcome aboard shipmate! CGC BOUTWELL is a High Endurance Cutter home-ported in San Diego, California. BOUTWELL serves the American public by conducting Law Enforcement, Military, and Humanitarian Service operations in the maritime domain focusing on Safe, Efficient, and Effective mission accomplishment. A High Endurance Cutter like BOUTWELL is an excellent platform for all new Coast Guard members to see how each of our diverse enlisted ratings contributes to operational excellence. In addition, every member of the crew gets to visit places they might never otherwise see and has numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth. Onboard mentors, especially our First Class and Chief Petty Officers, help create Individual Development Plans that map out goals leading to advancement and recognition while we work together to achieve important national and international objectives.
