MIKE GULDIN

LCDR Mike Guldin reported to ACTIVE after serving as the Chief of Operations & Technology Branch at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, Key West Florida from 2007 to 2010. 

A native of Gloucester City, New Jersey, LCDR Guldin graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management.  He also has earned a Masters of Science degree in Strategic Intelligence from the National Defense Intelligence College in 2007.  LCDR Guldin’s previous sea duty assignments include Operations Officer aboard USCGC DEPENDABLE (WMEC 626) from 2001-2003 and as a Deck Watch Officer and Communications Officer aboard USCGC CAMPBELL (WMEC 909) from 1996-1998. 

LCDR Guldin’s ashore assignments have included serving as the Maritime Intelligence Analyst for the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Information and Analysis from 2004-2006, where he focused on maritime border security and human smuggling issues and as an Afloat Safety Specialist at U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters where he conducted several mishap analysis reports and aided the development of risk management doctrine for the Coast Guard.

LCDR Guldin’s  personal awards include a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, two Coast Guard Achievement Medals with Operational Distinguished Device, and the Global War on Terror Service Medal.
