The Pacific Area (PACAREA) External Affairs Branch provides strategic guidance and support to the Area Commander, PACAREA Staff and field units on international, governmental and public affairs matters. Through the development of positive communication, interaction and outreach, the External Affairs Branch continuously strengthens U.S. Coast Guard external relationships with the goal of supporting operational success throughout the Area of Responsibility. PACAREA External Affairs is guided by our values of being field-focused, responsive and good stewards, while empowering our co-workers. These values build upon the Coast Guard’s core values, the Commandant’s Direction and the joint Area Commanders’ Intent.
